Monacoin halving explained
The third Monacoin block reward halving is scheduled for October 17, 2023 (approximately). Monacoin’s initial block reward was 50 MONA. For this upcoming Monacoin halving, the total number of Monacoin mined by miners per block will be reduced from 12.5 MONA to 6.25 MONA. The Monacoin reward halves every 1,051,200 blocks or it happens approximately every 3 years. Annual Monacoin inflation is reduced significantly.
How many Monacoin will ever be created?
105,120,000 MONA, will be issued. The inventor stipulated 2 billion and 40 million Handshakes limit to control the supply and therefore future price fluctuations.
